An overcurrent circuit breaker is arranged inside an approximately cube-shaped, two-part insulating housing (1), comprising a chassis section (2) and a locking section (3). Located between the parallel side walls (4, 5) of the housing sections (2 , 3) is a switchgear with a contact bridge (13) , the movement of which is guided parallel to the side walls (4, 5). Essentially, it extends in longitudinal direction at a right angle to the side walls (4, 5) and while in the on position between two fixed contacts (14, 15) that are fastened inside the housing and are positioned on both sides of the movement plane for the switchgear. The fixed contacts (14, 15) are flat pieces akin to a knife blade. They fit against the side walls (4, 5) and respectively form a contact point (16, 17) with their narrow, knife-blade type edges facing the contact bridge (13). With their rear sides (18, 19) opposite the contact points (16, 17), the fixed contacts (14, 15) fit against a flank wall (12) of housing (1). As a result of this, the fixed contacts (14, 15) are positioned especially space-saving in the corners of housing (1).

Un disjoncteur de surintensité est logé dans un boîtier isolant (1) de forme approximativement carrée en deux parties, une partie châssis (2) et une partie couvercle (3). Entre les deux parois latérales (4, 5) mutuellement parallèles des parties de boîtier (2, 3) se trouve un mécanisme de commutation à guidage cinétique d'un pont de contact (13), parallèlement aux parois latérales (4, 5). La longueur de ce pont est sensiblement perpendiculaire aux parois latérales (4, 5) et il est en position de mise en circuit entre deux contacts fixes (14, 15) fixés au boîtier, qui sont positionnés de chaque côté du plan cinétique du mécanisme de commutation. Ces contacts fixes (14, 15) sont des pièces plates du type lame de couteau. Ils reposent sur les parois latérales (4, 5) et forment respectivement, avec leurs bords étroits en arête de couteau tournés vers le pont de contact (13), un point de contact (16, 17). Par leurs faces dorsales (18, 19) opposées aux points de contact (16, 17), ces contacts fixes (14, 15) sont en appui contre une paroi de flanc (12) du boîtier (1). Les contacts fixes (14, 15) sont ainsi positionnés de manière particulièrement peu encombrante dans les coins du boîtier (1).
