The present invention reveals a sorting device, positioned above and orientated across a plurality of conveyors, capable of diverting objects between the conveyors or removing objects entirely from the conveyors, based on the object's destination location or some other characteristic. To accomplish its purpose, the device comprises: a primary conveyor; a secondary conveyor; a monorail positioned above and orientated across the conveyors; a carriage that mounts the monorail; a linear actuator that drives the carriage side to side the length of the monorail; a paddle attached to the carriage that extends downward to contact the objects; a wiper located along the bottom edge of the paddle that is biased in contact with the conveyors; and a controller capable of positioning the carriage so the paddle contacts the object to be diverted and pushes it between conveyors or from conveyors to adjacent destination locations.
L'invention concerne une trieuse surélevée par rapport à plusieurs transporteurs et traversant l'étendue de ces transporteurs, permettant de diriger des objets entre les transporteurs et de retirer entièrement ces objets des transporteurs, en fonction de la destination des objets ou autres caractéristiques. A cet effet, le dispositif comprend les éléments suivants: transporteur primaire; transporteur secondaire; monorail (32) placé au-dessus des transporteurs et traversant l'étendue transporteurs; chariot (40) monté sur le monorail; actionneur linéaire entraînant le chariot d'un côté à l'autre sur la longueur du monorail; pale (100) fixée au chariot s'étendant vers le bas pour aller au contact des objets; racleur situé le long du bord inférieur de la pale, soumis à une contrainte pour être au contact avec les transporteurs; et organe de commande permettant de positionner le chariot de sorte que la pale vienne au contact de l'objet à diriger, pour le pousser entre les transporteurs ou depuis les transporteurs vers des destinations adjacentes.
