The invention is an overhead power line suspension system for use in the transmission of high-voltage electricity. It consists of a tower, strain insulator string assemblies and a section of fully insulated cable with an electrically conductive core. The bare conductors of the power line are attached to the tower by strain insulator string assemblies on opposite sides of the tower. The strain insulator string assemblies are of sufficient length to avoid electric charge flashover from the bare conductors to the tower. The ends of the insulated cable section are attached to the bare conductors on opposite sides of the tower, thereby electrically connecting the bare conductors.
