An overhead door (10) and associated mating panels (14) includes a number of hinges to pivotally couple adjacent overhead door panels (14). Each door panel (14) includes a back metal skin (36) presenting a back face. Each hinge (20) includes a lower hinge leaf (50) a pair of hinge legs projecting generally parallel to each other. The lower hinge leaf (50) is mounted to the lower panel and a backer plate (56) is mounted to the interior face of the back skin (36) of the lower panel and screws or bolts project through the lower hinge leaf (50), the skin (36) and into the backer plate (56) . Each hinge leg (58) on the lower hinge leaf (50) includes a hinge pin hole near a terminal end thereof for alignment with the hinge pin holes in an upper hinge leaf (40). The lower hinge leaf (50) has a tongue (72) projecting from an upper edge (74) of the mounting base (52). The tongue is formed into a hook~shaped arcuate projection and aids in the alignment, support and positioning of a hinge pin inserted through the aligned hinge pin holes in the upper and lower hinge leaves. A depression or pocket (80) is provided in the back skin (36) of the lower panel for each hinge assembly. The pocket provides a recess for the terminal ends of the hinge legs (58) of the upper and lower hinge leaves. The shape or contour of the wells of the pocket (80) provides a location or alignment benefit to the positioning of the lower hinge leaf.
L'invention porte sur une porte basculante (10) et sur des panneaux d'assemblage associés comprenant un nombre de charnières pour assembler pivotant les panneaux de porte basculante adjacents (14). La lame de charnière inférieure (50) comporte une languette (72) sortant d'une bordure supérieure (74) de la base de montage (52). La languette présente une protubérance arquée sous forme d'un crochet et facilite l'alignement, le support et le positionnement d'une broche de charnière enfoncée à travers les trous de broche de charnière alignés dans les lames de charnière supérieure et inférieure. Une dépression ou poche (80) est située dans le recouvrement métallique arrière (36) du panneau inférieur pour chaque ensemble charnière. La poche constitue un renfoncement pour les extrémités des montants de charnière (58) des lames de charnière supérieure et inférieure. La forme ou le contour des puits de la poche (80) permettent une mise en place et un alignement avantageux pour le positionnement de la lame de charnière inférieure.
