IMPROVEMENTS IN OVERLAND PIPELINE CONVEYORS Abstract Overland Pipeline Conveyor comprising: a) open ended tubular guideways with vents at the end area; the tubular guideway between vent and exit end being downward inclined toward exit. b) monorails in form of omega rails or I rails; c) wheeled containers with load carrying gondolas and having in front and back main cruise wheels at the bottom and secondary upper rollers at the upper part, the secondary upper rollers being able to roll inside or on a monorail, the main cruise wheels and the secondary upper rollers being associated with a frame to which the gondola is articulated at each end by sleeve bearings having coaxial axis parallel with the body of gondola, the containers being able to roll on the main cruise wheels directly on the said tubular guideway or to roll on the secondary upper rollers on the said monorails; also, the containers being able to be unloaded by rotating the gondolas around the said sleeve bearings; d) loading installation made of a surge hopper and feeder arrangement; e) transfer means made of a curved monorail to transfer the containers from one tubular guideway to another tubular guideway f) unloading installation made essentially of a monorail area, where the containers could roll suspended on the secondary upper rollers and to be unloaded by rotating the gondola around the said sleeve bearings and implicitly (Continuation-Abstract- Improvements in Overland Pipeline Conveyors) unloading the containers; g) mechanical conveyors to move in and out of the tubular guideways the said containers at the end of the installation for loading/unloading, transfer or injection, extraction in or from the said tubular guideway; h) propulsion means based on blowers, fans to propel the containers along the tubular guideways, characterized by the fact that they don't use flap valves. The way of operation, in principle of the proposed overland pipeline conveyor being as follows: all the time there will be containers in the tubular guideway area between the vent and the exit end, and these containers will try to move, to get out because of the said inclination; the containers are propelled by the propulsion means along the tubular guideways by the existing containers in the tubular guideway are gradually slowed down at the end of the tubular guideway are between the vent and the exit, then the containers are moved bumper to bumper by a mechanical conveyor in the loading or unloading installation loaded or unloaded then transferred to the transfer means from one tubular guideway to another tubular guideway, then introduced into the tubular guideway with another mechanical conveyor, then propelled along the tubular guideway by the propulsion means and the process/sequence is repeated.
