An overshoe or weather-protective shoe has a hollow reservoir contained within its sole and a concave recess located beneath the reservoir. When the wearer steps into a puddle or onto a wet surface, water is drawn into the reservoir by a suction effect produced by the action of the concave recess. Water accumulated in the reservoir subsequently passes through water-channeling means contained within the overshoe or weather-protective shoe and is squirted in a jet from the front top portion of the shoe. The invention may further include a toe-actuated exit valve allowing the wearer to control the timing of the squirting action.
