ABSTRACT " OVERVOLTAGE ARRESTER DEVICE" A plug-in insulating base la can have interchangeably mounted thereon two different holders lb designed to receive different voltage surge arresters arranged laterally side-by-side. One holder is designed to receive standard 6 x 8 or 8 x 8 arresters 4b in a double row, while the other holder receives standard twin arresters 4a having three contact pins 5a. In each case, the holder lb is in the form o f a compartmented grid-like frame open at its top and bottom,and is detachably mounted on the base 1a by means of components thereon which are snap-engageable.
