The invention relates to an overvoltage protector magazine (10) used in telecommunications. Said overvoltage protector magazine can be mounted directly on a carrier system of the telecommunication element behind a zone of connection (12) for cable leads in a mounting position and can be electrically connected to the zone of connection (12). The overvoltage arresters can be inserted in a mounting position from the bottom, from the top, or partially from the bottom or partially from the top, particularly in an alternating manner from the top and from the bottom.
