ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to an oxadiazolinone derivative represented by the following general formula, a process for producing the same and insecticides containing the same as an active ingredient: Image wherein R1 is a haloalkyl group or a haloalkoxy group; R2 is a halogen atom, nitro group, trifluoromethyl group or l-pyrrolyl group; R3 is a bicycloalkyl group, a methyl- or chloro-substituted cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, a methyl-substituted cycloalkenyl group, 2-methyl-1,3-dithioran-2-yl group or an alkyl group, wherein the alkyl group may be substituted with a halogen atom, an alkoxy group, an alkylthio group, an alkylsulfinyl group, an alkylsulfonyl group or an alkoxycarbonyl group; R4 is hydrogen atom or fluorine atom; and X is CR2 or N. The oxadiazolinone derivative can be used as an insecticide by formulating it into emulsifiable concentrates, wettable powders, dusts, granules, flowable concentrates and poison baits, etc..
