The present invention pertains to the field of organic chemistry, and particularly therapeutic chemistry. The invention provides cis-form 5-(cytosinyl-1) 1,3-oxathiolanes of general formula (I), wherein R is an acyl or aralkoyl radical, derivatized from a nitrogen monocyclic or bicyclic heterocycle, and the hydroxymethyl group in position 2 is in cis position in relation to the plane defined by positions 2 and 5. The compounds of general formula (I) are useful as active ingredients in pharmaceutical compositions, particularly with antiviral activity.
La présente invention se rapporte au domaine de la chimie organique et plus précisement à celui de la chimie thérapeutique. Elle a spécifiquement pour objet, les 5- (cytosinyl-1) 1,3-oxathiolanes de configuration cis répondant à la formule générale (I) dans laquelle R est un radical acyle au aralcoyle, dérivés d'un hétérocycle mono- ou bicyclique azoté et le groupe hydroxyméthyle en position 2 est en position cis par rapport au plan déterminé par les positions 2 et 5. Les composés de formule générale (I) servent de principes actifs à des compositions pharmaceutiques, notamment à action antivirale.
