-1- Abstract of the Disclosure This invention relates to a process for preparing a spirooxazolidinedione of the formula I Image Formula I wherein R2 is H, CH3 or CHO; either one of R3 and R4, when taken singly, is H or OH and the other is C2H5 and R5 is H; or R4 and R5, taken together, form an epoxide ring and R3 is C2H5; and R6 is OH or Image . It is useful as an anti-tumor agent in mammals.
