NEW OXAZOLIDINONES, A PROCESS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION AND MEDICAMENTS CONTAINING THESE COMPOUNDS Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention is related to new oxazolidin-2- one derivatives having the general formula Image wherein X represents hydroxy or chlorine, Rl represents hydrogen or methyl, R2 represents hydrogen, methyl, phenyl, p-chlorophenyl or allyl, R3 represents hydrogen, methyl or allyl, R4 represents hydrogen, R5 represents hydrogen or methyl, and R6 represents phenyl, with the proviso that R2 and R3 are hydrogen when X represents chlorine. These compounds have good anticonvulsive, tranquilizing and sleep-inducing properties and are suitable, for example, for the treatment of epilepsy in humans.
