ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A latex is prepared by polymerizing (a) an addition polymerizable oxazoline (such as 2-isopropenyl- -2-oxazoline) and (b) at least one other monomer (such as a mixture of styrene and butadiene). The latexes of this invention are useful for promoting adhesion between a polymeric elastomer and a substrate, especially for promoting adhesion between tire cords and tire rubber.
