It is intended to provide a compound which is an oxepin derivative having excellent histamine receptor antagonism and is useful as an antihistamine. The oxepin derivative of the invention has potent histamine receptor antagonism. Further, the compound of the invention shows low intracerebral transfer also in a test for receptor binding in the brain of a mouse orally administered with the compound, therefore, it has a preferable property in terms of reducing central nervous system side effects such as drowsiness. Accordingly, the oxepin derivative of the invention is very useful as a novel antihistamine with less central nervous system side effects such as drowsiness.

La présente invention concerne un composé qui est un dérivé d'oxépine présentant un excellent antagonisme envers le récepteur de l'histamine et qui est utilisable en tant qu'antihistaminique. Ledit dérivé d'oxépine présente un puissant antagonisme envers le récepteur de l'histamine. En outre, le transfert intracérébral dudit composé s'est montré faible lors d'un test de liaison au récepteur dans le cerveau d'une souris qui a reçu le composé par voie orale. Ledit composé a donc une propriété préférable en termes de réduction des effets secondaires tels que la somnolence sur le système nerveux central. En conséquence, ledit dérivé d'oxépine est très utile en tant qu'antihistaminique innovant avec moins d'effets tels que la somnolence sur le système nerveux central.
