Selective oxidation process for organic substrates by contacting said substrates with an oxidant selected amongst hydroperoxides and/or hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a catalyst containing a metal complex of a least one multicoordinating nitrogenated ligand characterized in that the molar ratio metal complex/peroxide is comprised between 1 and 10?-10¿, the temperature is lower than 120 ·C, and the metal complex has the general formula: [L¿x? M¿y? X¿u?]?z¿ Y¿q? with M a manganese or iron atom in oxidised condition, X a bridge between metals, Y a counter-ion, x and y being >= 1, 0 <= u <= 3, z being the charge of the metal complex and q = z/charge of Y, and L is a ligand having the formula: R¿1? Ar¿1? N - (CH¿2?)r - N Ar¿2? R¿2?, with Ar¿1? and Ar¿2? being linear C¿1? to C¿6? carbon chains, linked to a nitrogenated heterocycle, R¿1? and R¿2? being hydrogen or a C¿1?-C¿6? alkyl chain optionally connected to a nitrogenated heterocycle, 2 <= r <= 4.
Procédé d'oxydation sélectif des substrats organiques par mise en contact desdits substrats avec un oxydant choisi parmi les hydroperoxydes et/ou le peroxyde d'hydrogène en présence d'un catalyseur contenant un complexe métallique d'au moins un ligand multicoordinat azoté caractérisé en ce que le rapport molaire complexe/peroxyde est compris entre 1 et 10-10, la température est inférieure à 120 ~C, et le complexe métallique est de formule générale [Lx My Xu]z Yq avec M, un atome de manganèse ou de fer à l'état d'oxydé, X un pont entre métaux, Y un contre-ion, x et y étant >= 1, 0 <= u <= 3, z la charge du complexe métallique et q = z/charge de Y, et L un ligand de formule: R1 Ar1 N - (CH2)r - N Ar2 R2, avec Ar1 et Ar2 des chaînes carbonées linéaires de C1 à C6, reliées à un hétérocycle azoté, R1 et R2 étant l'hydrogène ou une chaîne alkyle de C1 à C6 reliée éventuellement à un hétérocycle azoté, 2 <= r <= 4.
