2066399 9103230 PCTABS00003 The levelling action of oxidative hair dyes containing as the oxidative dye 2,4,5,6-tetraaminopyrimidine, or a derivative thereof, can be improved by the addition of histidine or its salts. Particularly intense and uniform dyeing of the hair is obtained if, in addition to 0.1-10 % by wt. of histidine, the hair dye contains 0.1-5 % by wt. of N-2-hydroxyethylacetamide.
