ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is considerably more anisotropy in the critical magnetic field and current of an oxide superconductor due to its layer structure. Disclosed here is an oxide superconductor in which said anisotropy is improved by joining together oxide superconductor crystallites with a normally conductive metal layer interposed therebetween and making said normally conductive metal superconductive by the proximity effect.
