ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is described a process for the protection of cultivated plants against harmful agricultural chemicals, which process comprises the use of oxime derivatives of the formula Image (wherein R1 is (a) a radical -OR2, wherein R2 is C1 to C4 alkyl or cyclopropyl, lb) a radical -NH - CO - NH - R4 or (c) 3 radical - N(R3) (R4), wherein R3 and R4 each independently hydrogen or C1 to C4 alkyl, and Q is hydrogen, - CH2 - CN or a quaternized ammonium salt) as antidotes. The cultivated area or the cultivated plants themselves, or parts of the plants (seed, tubers, sections of stalk, etc.), can be treated with these oxime derivatives.
