OXYDIACETALDEHYDE COMPOSITIONS AND PROCESSES Abstract of the Disclosure Oxydiacetaldehyde is an active antimicrobial agent when used in aqueous solution for disinfect- ing or sterilizing purposes. The activity of such solutions against bacteria or spores can be improved by adding alkalinating agents, e.g. sodium acetate, or alcohols, e.g. isopropanol or propylene glycol, or by raising pH or temperature.
