An oxygen-absorbing composition including iron and a soluble tartrate. A method of absorbing oxygen from a closed environment including the steps of providing an oxygen-absorbing composition containing iron and a tartrate, injecting water into the composition, and placing the composition into the closed environment. An oxygen-absorbing packet containing iron and tartrate. All of the foregoing-mentioned compositions preferably include an electrolyte. The tartrates may be selected from the group which may include sodium acid tartrate, potassium acid tartrate, potassium sodium tartrate tetrahydrate and sodium tartrate dihydrate, but are not limited thereto.
L'invention concerne une composition d'absorption d'oxygène et un tartrate soluble. Un procédé d'absorption d'oxygène d'un environnement fermé consiste à alimenter une composition d'absorption d'oxygène contenant du fer et un tartrate, à injecter de l'eau dans la composition, et à placer la composition dans un environnement fermé. Selon l'invention, un groupe d'absorption d'oxygène contient du fer et du tartrate. Toutes les compositions précitées comprennent de préférence un électrolyte. Les tartrates peuvent être sélectionnés dans le groupe qui peut comprendre du bitartrate de sodium, du bitartrate de potassium, du tétrahydrate de bitartrate de sodium / potassium et du dihydrate de tartrate de sodium, cette énumération n'étant pas exhaustive.
