OXYGEN CONCENTRATION DETECTOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An oxygen concentration detector comprises an oxygen concentration sensor which produces an electromotive force in accordance with a difference between an oxygen concentration in a gas component of a gas under test and an oxygen concentration in a reference gas, first and second electrodes formed on the side of the gas under test and on the side of the reference gas of the oxy- gen concentration sensor so that the electromotive force of the oxygen con- centration sensor is taken across the electrodes, a first protective member arranged to cover the first electrode and having a number of pores through which the gas under test can pass and a second protective member arranged between the first electrode and the first protective member and having a number of pores through which the gas under test can pass. A gap is formed between both the protective members and the pores of the first protective member are staggered in relation to the pores of the second protective member.
