The invention discloses a new electrode suitable for use as an anode for oxygen evolution from electrolytes containing fluorides or fluoride-complex anions evenin high concentrations. The anode of the invention comprises a titanium substrate provided with a protective interlayer resistant to the aggressive action of fluorides, and an electrocatalytic coating for oxygen evolution. The protective interlayer is made of tungsten, oxides or oxyfluorides, optionally containing metals of the platinum group in minor quantities, metallo-ceramic compounds and intermetallic compounds either per se or as mixed oxides.
La présente invention divulgue une nouvelle électrode utilisable comme anode produisant de l'oxygène à partir d'électrolytes contenant des fluorures ou des anions de complexes de fluorures, même à des concentrations importantes. L'anode de cette invention comprend un substrat de titane, muni d'une intercouche protectrice résistant à l'action énergique des fluorures, et un revêtement électrocatalytique pour la production de l'oxygène. L'intercouche protectrice est faite de tungstène, d'oxydes ou d'oxyfluorures, contenant facultativement des métaux du groupe du platine en quantités minimes, des métaux céramiques et des composés intermétalliques, tels quels ou sous forme d'oxydes mélangés.
