ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Oxygen-permeable polymeric membranes, intended for use in processes for producing oxygen- or nitrogen-enriched air for industrial, medical, and other applications, are characterized by a complex which comprises (a) a copolymer of a vinyl aroma- tic amine and either (i) a fluoroalkyl acrylate or (ii) a fluoroalkyl methacrylate, and (b) a ligand taken from the group consisting of (1) porphyrins, (2) Schiff bases, (3) cyclidenes, and (4) amine-like macrocycles, and (c) a transition metal (II) ion.
