An oxygen scavenger composition includes mer units that have at least one cycloalkenyl group or functionality and, further, has mer units de-rived from isophthalic acid or terephthalic acid or certain derivatives thereof. The oxygen scavenger composition has been found to act as an oxygen scavenger under both ambient and refrigeration conditions, to be compatible with conventional film forming packaging materials, to inhibit undesirable oligomer formation and oxidation by-product formation, and to be readily formable and processable using conventional film forming equipment. A film and laminated product having said oxygen scavenger composition are also disclosed.
L'invention porte sur une composition absorbant l'oxygène comprenant des unités de mères présentant au moins ou une fonctionnalité cycloalcényle, et de plus des unités de mères dérivant de l'acide isophtalique ou de l'acide téréphtalique ou de certains de ses dérivés. Ladite composition: absorbe l'oxygène autant dans des conditions de température ambiante que de réfrigération; est compatible avec les matériaux usuels des films pour emballages; inhibe la formation d'oligimères indésirables et de sous-produits d'oxydation; et est faciles à former et à traiter à l'aide d'équipements traditionnels de formation de films. L'invention porte également sur un film et un produit laminé comportant ladite composition.
