Abstract of the Disclosure An oxygen partial pressure sensor with improved lead wire attachment and an improved attachment method are disclosed. The sensor is in the form of a tube of solid electrolyte having inner and outer precious metal electrodes at one end and conductive stripes extending therefrom toward the other end. Lead wire attachment is made by threading ends of the lead wires through holes in the wall of the tube at the locations of the stripes.
