ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel oxylmipa-substituted cyclopropane compound characterised in that it has the general formula: Image (A) wherein W is thienyl, furyl, -COR1, -OR1, or SR1 in which R1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a cycloalkyl group containing 3 or 4 carbon atoms, p is 1 or 2, X is chlorine, bromine or OR in which R represents a hydrogen atom, a salt-forming cation, an alkyl group containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, 5-benzyl-3-furylmethyl, alpha-cyano-3- phenoxybenzyl, 3-phenoxybenzyl, 2,6-dichlorobenzyl or pentachlorobenzyl. The pyrothroid alcohol esters have insecticidal activity and the remaining compoundsare precursors therefor.
