A photoreceptor for electrophotography comprises a photosensitive layer containing an effective amount of oxytitanium phthalocyanine crystal having strong peaks at 9.6°, 24.2° and 27.3° and weak and broad peaks at approximately 11.6 °, 13.5° , 14.3° and 18.1° in Bragg angle 2.theta. ~0.2° by cuK.alpha. characteristic X-ray diffraction, and an exothermic peak at 266°C in differential scanning calorimetry. The oxytitanium phthalocyanine crystal has a small grain size and a high stability and thephotoreceptor has a high photosensitivity to light having a long wavelength.
L'invention est un photorécepteur d'électrophotographie comportant une couche photosensible qui contient une quantité appropriée d'un cristal de phtalocyanine d'oxytitane ayant des pics prononcés à 9,6°, 24,2° et 27,3°, et des pics larges peu élevés à 11,6°, 13,5°, 14,3° et 18,1° environ dans un angle de Bragg 2 de diffraction de rayons X de 0,2° environ, et un pic exothermique à 266°C. Le cristal de phtalocyanine d'oxytitane est fait de grains fins et a une grande stabilité et le photorécepteur est très sensible à la lumière ayant une grande longueur d'onde.
