ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A compound is provided of the formula: Image wherein R1 is selected from (C1-C2) alkyl, halide, or (C1-C2) alkoxy; R2 is selected from H or (C1-C3) alkyl; Y is a number of from 2 to about 200; and Z is selected from H or Image where W is (C1-C18) alkyl. N,N-disubstituted- aminobenzaldehydes are well known chemical compounds having a fairly wide variety of end-use applications including, for instance, their use as inter- mediates in the preparation of commercial styryl dyes.
