There is provided a pack (13) for elongate smoking articles encased in an inner wrapping and comprising a paperboard outer container having a generally rectangular base (14), four hingedly connected side walls (15-20) which upstand from the said base, and top panel means (22) which at least partially closes off the top of the pack. The side walls (15-20) are substantially the same height as the smoking articles and are secured with respect to the base. Access to the smoking articles is made by way of the top panel means (22).

L'invention concerne un emballage (13) destiné à des articles à fumer allongés placés dans une enveloppe intérieure, l'emballage comprenant un étui extérieur en carton possédant un fond généralement rectangulaire (14), quatre parois latérales reliées par des charnières (15-20) et s'élevant à partir de ce fond, et un dispositif de panneau supérieur (22) fermant au moins partiellement le sommet de l'emballage. Les parois latérales (15-20) sont sensiblement de la même hauteur que les articles à fumer et sont fixes par rapport au fond. On accède aux articles à fumer par le dispositif de panneau supérieur (22).
