ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a package of the type which is formed from a laminated material web, consisting of a base layer of paper or cardboard coated with a polyethylene material, which is formed into a tube, with the longitudinal edge zones of the web overlapping one another, by sealing said tube, after fil- ling, being sealed transversely and cut of along the transverse seals to package units, the side of the longitudinal joint of the package which faces towards the inside of the package being covered by a strip of a laminated material consisting of a base layer with higher softening temperature than the material with which the in- side of the packing material web is coated, both sides of the said base layer of said strip being coated with a material sealable to the inside coating of the packing material.
