The invention relates to a package for ready-prepared foods, which comprises a dish (1) containing packed food that has been cooked in the dish, and a lid heat- sealed to the rim flange (2) of the dish. Upon cooking grease lands onto the rim flange, the detriment of which caused to the sealing has in the invention been prevented by pro-viding the rim flange with elevated ridges (3, 4) so that, upon closing the dish, a gastight sealing line is formed between the lid and the ridges. Accord-ing to the invention the rim flange has two or more concentric longitudinal ridges (3) circulating the dish and transverse ridges (4), by means of which the space between two longitudinal ridges (3) has been divided into at least five compartments for di-minishing the possibility of sealing leakages. In practice there can be considerably more compart-ments, suitably 10-200. The dish can be made of polymer- coated cardboard, the rim flange of injec-tion-moulded plastics and the lid of polymer-coat-ed paper so that a closure making possible the pulling off of the lid is produced during heat-seal-ing.
L'invention concerne un emballage pour aliments tout préparés, lequel emballage comprend: un plat (1) contenant un aliment emballé qui a été cuit dans le plat, et un couvercle thermoscellé sur le rebord (2) du plat. En cours de cuisson, la graisse se dépose sur le rebord, ce qui peut endommager l'étanchéité. L'invention a résolu ce problème en dotant le rebord d'arêtes surélevées (3, 4) de sorte que lorsque l'on ferme le plat, il se forme une ligne d'étanchéité étanche aux gaz entre le couvercle et les arêtes. Selon l'invention, le rebord est muni d'au moins deux arêtes longitudinales concentriques (3) qui entourent le plat, et d'arêtes transversales (4) qui permettent de diviser l'espace compris entre deux arêtes longitudinales (3) en au moins cinq compartiments afin de réduire la possibilité de fuites d'étanchéité. En pratique, l'invention peut comprendre un nombre considérablement plus élevé de compartiments, idéalement entre 10 et 200. Le plat peut être fabriqué dans un carton recouvert de polymère, le rebord dans du plastique moulé par injection et le couvercle dans un papier recouvert de polymère, de sorte qu'au cours du thermoscellage, on produit une fermeture qui permet l'arrachage du couvercle.
