The invention concerns a machine designed for converting sheets into package. The machine includes an infeed station, a cutting and creasing station actuated by a press and provided with an upper and lower beam (Ss, Si respectively), a waste stripping station, a delivery station (R) and means (Tr, 100) used for removing the front waste (Df). The transfer of the sheets (F) from one station to the other is ensured by a closed-loop pair of chains (C) provided with gripper bars (B). The means used for the removal of the front waste (Df) are situated above the upper beam (Ss) of the cutting station.
