A packaged effervescent product is provided which includes a sachet surrounded by an outer package film sealing the sachet against water vapor transmission. The sachet is a cosmetic article which includes an effervescent cleansing composition of an acid material such as citric acid and an alkaline material such as sodium bicarbonate. The composition is held within the sealed sachet or pouch. At least one wall of the pouch is water permeable. The outer package film is formed of a material which must have a breathability for carbon dioxide. Any carbon dioxide generated during storage is thereby allowed to slowly diffuse into the atmosphere while still minimizing the amount of water which may enter the package.

La présente demande porte sur un produit effervescent emballé se présentant sous la forme d'un sachet entouré d'une pellicule dont la fonction est de sceller le sachet pour éviter qu'il n'entre en contact avec de la vapeur d'eau. Le sachet en question est un article cosmétique comprenant une substance nettoyante effervescente composée d'un ingrédient acide comme de l'acide citrique et d'un ingrédient alcalin comme du bicarbonate de sodium. Ce mélange est contenu dans le sachet scellé. Au moins une des parois du sachet est perméable à l'eau. La pellicule recouvrant le sachet est composée d'une matière devant laisser passer le dioxyde de carbone. De cette manière, le dioxyde de carbone généré pendant la durée de vie du sachet se diffuse lentement dans l'air ambiant, et ce, tout en évitant que de l'eau ne s'infiltre dans l'emballage.
