ABSTRACT A method of manufacturing emulsion explosives is disclosed comprising (a) forming an oil-continuous emulsion at an elevated temperature, (b) incorporating a density reducing agent into the emulsion to sensitize it, (c) packaging the sensitized emulsion into a flexible tubing of desired diameter, (d) cooling the loaded tubing to a desired temperature, and (e) over- wrapping the loaded tubing with an additional packaging material.
