A pack (1) for smoking articles comprises an outer shell (3). The outer shell comprises opposing front (2) and back major panels (4), two opposing minor side panels (6,8) and opposing first and second ends. The first end is open and the second end is closed. The pack further comprises an inner tray (5). The inner tray is located within the outer shell and is slidable along a length axis directed be- tween the first and second ends of the outer shell so as to emerge from the first open end of the outer shell. The inner tray has an aperture (19) formed therein. The pack further comprises a tongue (21) having a head portion (24) located inside the inner tray and wider than said aperture, and a stem portion (23) connected at one end to the outer shell at or near the second end of the outer shell. The stem portion extends through the aperture to join the head portion. The aperture and tongue provide a stop mechanism to prevent withdrawal of the inner tray from the first end of the outer shell past a predetermined limit.

Lenveloppe extérieure comprend des panneaux majeurs avant (2) et arrière opposés (4), deux panneaux latéraux mineurs opposés (6,8) et une première et une seconde extrémité opposées. La première extrémité est ouverte et la seconde extrémité est fermée. Lemballage comprend en outre un compartiment intérieur (5). Le compartiment intérieur est situé dans lenveloppe extérieure et peut coulisser le long dun axe de la longueur situé entre la première et la seconde extrémité de lenveloppe extérieure de façon à sortir de la première extrémité ouverte de lenveloppe extérieure. Le compartiment intérieur possède une ouverture (19) formée à lintérieur. Lemballage comprend en outre une languette (21) qui possède une partie de tête (24) située à lintérieur du compartiment intérieur et plus large que ladite ouverture, et une partie de tige (23) reliée en une extrémité à lenveloppe extérieure, au niveau de ou près de la seconde extrémité de lenveloppe extérieure. La partie de tige sétend dans louverture afin de rejoindre la partie de tête. Louverture et la languette offrent un mécanisme de butée afin dempêcher tout retrait du compartiment intérieur de la première extrémité de lenveloppe extérieure au-delà dune limite prédéterminée.
