ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A packaging container for accommodating a flowable product, includes a bag with a closeable outlet bung mounted in a rigid case, and an opening associated with the outlet bung. The outlet bung is provided with both a bung neck for receiving a closure element, and with a fastening element for attaching the outlet bung to the packaging container or to the product container arranged therein. The bung neck comprises at least two and preferably four parallel, opposite pairs of outwardly facing straight surfaces for positioning the bung, and has recesses in a retaining bead to prevent rotation relative to the closure system.
