ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A packaging container for accommodating a liquid product is formed by a flexible bag mounted in a rigid outer case with a closeable outlet bung and an opening associated therewith. The outlet bung is fixed to the rim of the opening by a support integrally formed on the neck of the bung, and is provided with a laterally directed product outlet tube which branches radially sideways from an axially directed upper part of the outlet bung. The outlet cross-section of the bung is closed and opened by means of a cylindrical tube extending into the upper part with a corresponding opening of a closure cap rotatable relative to the outlet bung. A fixing flange extending radially outwards is formed between the upper part and the bung neck, is made in two parts, and provides a passage cross-section for the closure that is as large as possible, while maintaining a reliable sealing effect. The tubular upper part is integrally formed with the lateral product outlet tube on the outer edge of the fixing flange, the bung neck being extended beyond the fixing flange into the lower end of the upper part beneath the product outlet tube, via an inner tube section. An annular gap is formed between the upper part and the inner tube section, for sealingly receiving the inner tube of the closure cap.
