Devices described herein comprise devices to facilitate and help insure retrieval of items contained in a package, particularly a package containing packag- ing materials which may obscure the contents of the package. The device comprises a tether affixation means, tethering means and item affixation means. In another embodiment the device may contain inventory control means affixed to the tether affixation means, tethering means or item affixation means. In another embodiment a tethering means applicator means is pro- vided.
