1090-3 Abstract of the Disclosure A packaging device is described for continuous separation and packaging of a plurality of packaging containers connected in a chain. It consists of a frame in which the packaging container chain, consisting of uniformly spaced container zones and link zones in between and connecting the container zones, can be guided along a prescribed track. A plurality of knives are provided which are positioned at the same spacing as the link zones of the packaging container chain and can be moved along the track at the same speed as the container chain. The knives can be engaged in a direction vertical to the packaging container chain with the link zones in order to sever the chain into separate filled packages.
