An elongated packaging device (10) is provided for packaging at least one disc- shaped item (42) such as, for example, a recording media disc such as a CD, a CD-ROM or a DVD, together with other materials (52) relating to such disc or otherwise in a stacked relationship. The packaging device includes an opening at one end thereof, and it has at least one internal upper chamber (102) and at least one internal lower chamber (104) for respectively receiving the disc- shaped item and the other materials. These chambers are divided by a support element (40) that is adapted to positively retain the disc-shaped item within the upper chamber. A lid (14) is further provided for closing the opening at the end of the packaging device. A method is further provided for packaging such disc-shaped item and other material within the packaging device.
L'invention porte sur porte sur un emballage allongé (10) pouvant contenir au moins un article (42) en forme de disque tel que par exemple un support d'enregistrement, CD, CD ROM ou DVD, ainsi que du matériel, associé ou autre, empilé. L'emballage, muni d'une ouverture à l'une de ses extrémités, comporte au moins une chambre (102) intérieure supérieure et une chambre (104) intérieure inférieure recevant respectivement l'article en forme de disque et le matériel associé. Ces chambres sont divisées par un élément support retenant l'article en forme de disque dans la chambre supérieure. Il est prévu un couvercle (14) fermant la susdite ouverture. L'invention porte également sur un procédé d'empaquetage de l'article en forme de disque et du matériel annexe dans l'emballage.
