An elongated packaging device is provided for packaging at least one disc- shaped item (42) such as, for example, a recording media disc such as a CD, a CD-ROM or a DVD, together with other materials relating to such disc or otherwise in a stacked relationship. The packaging device includes a first member (450) having a first chamber (456) having a first opening for providing access into this first chamber and a second chamber (484) having a second chamber and a second opening for providing access into the second chamber, wherein the first member is adapted to be removably attached to the second member about the second opening to thereby cover this second opening. A method is further provided for packaging such disc-shaped item and other material within the packaging device.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'emballage allongé destiné à l'emballage d'au moins un article en forme de disque (42) tel que, par exemple, un support d'enregistrement tel qu'un CD, un CD-ROM ou un DVD, ainsi que du matériel associé ou autre, empilé. Ledit dispositif d'emballage comprend un premier élément (450) présentant une première chambre (456) possédant une première ouverture permettant d'accéder à ladite première chambre et un second élément (484) présentant une seconde chambre et une seconde ouverture permettant d'accéder à la seconde chambre, le premier élément étant conçu pour être fixé amovible au second élément près de la seconde ouverture pour ainsi couvrir ladite seconde ouverture. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant d'emballer un tel article en forme de disque et autre matériel dans le dispositif d'emballage.
