The invention relates to a packaging machine having at least one conveyor device (1, 2) for conveying through the machine the product (3) to be packaged, or the partly or fully packaged product. Arranged above the conveyor device is a magazine (7) for receiving a large number of packing box blanks (8); also provided above the conveyor device is a machine (9) for removing one blank at a time from the magazine and for positioning said blank over the product. A device (10) is used to convey the blank positioned over the product at the same speed as the product being conveyed. In accordance with the invention it is proposed that the machine (9) for removing and positioning the respective blank (8) and the device (10) for conveying the positioned blank (8) are adjustable in height. Such a packaging machine, at the same time as being straightforward in terms of its design, can be quickly converted to take products of different heights.
