An apparatus for regulating the flow of articles from an infeed stream at an infeed end of a packaging machine which apparatus comprises a plurality of article feed lanes for supplying a row of articles converging at a predetermined position, each feed lane having a regulator to control article flow, one of said regulators providing a reference position by which the relative positions of the articles may be controlled such that as the lanes converge one row of articles. The articles are subsequently arranged in groups wich are package in a carton formed by setting up a collapsed blank.

L'invention concerne un appareil permettant de réguler l'écoulement d'articles d'un flux d'alimentation à une extrémité d'une machine d'emballage. Ledit appareil consiste en plusieurs voies d'alimentation d'articles destinées à approvisionner une rangée d'articles convergeant au niveau d'une position prédéterminée. Chaque voie d'alimentation possède un régulateur qui commande l'écoulement d'articles, l'un des régulateurs fournissant une position de référence qui permet de commander les positions relatives des articles. Ainsi, à mesure que les voies convergent, une rangée d'articles est décalée par rapport à l'autre ou aux autres rangées d'articles.
