A packaging material having an oxygen-absorbing layer of a thermoplastic resin which is blended with an organic oxidizing component and with a transition metal catalyst, wherein the thermoplastic resin is not substantially oxidized in the presence of the transition metal catalyst. The thermoplastic resin is not deteriorated by oxidation and, hence, oxygen-barrier property is not deteriorated, making it possible to stably suppress the permeation of oxygen over extended periods of time.

Il s'agit d'un matériau d'emballage possédant une couche de résine thermoplastique absorbant l'oxygène et à laquelle on a mélangé un ingrédient oxydant les composés organiques et un catalyseur de métal de transition de sorte que la résine thermoplastique n'est pas oxydée de façon importante en présence du catalyseur de métal de transition. La résine thermoplastique n'est pas détériorée par l'oxydation et, de ce fait, elle conserve sa propriété de barrière protectrice contre l'oxygène, ce qui permet de supprimer avec une grande stabilité le passage de l'oxygène pendant de longues périodes.
