A fresh packaging system for roast and ground coffee having a top load capacity of at least about 16 pounds (7.3 Kg) comprising a stackable container with a closed bottom, an open top, and a body enclosing a perimeter between the bottom and the top. A protuberance (17) is continuously disposed around the perimeter of the body proximate to the top and forms a ridge external to the body. A flexible closure (18) is removeably attached and sealed to the protuberance so that the closure seals the interior volume of the container. The container bottom and container body are constructed from a material having a tensile modulus number ranging from at least about 35,000 to at least about 650,000 pounds per square inch (at least about 2,381 to at least about 44,230 atm).

L'invention porte sur un système d'emballage frais pour café torréfié et moulu présentant une capacité de charge supérieure d'au moins environ 16 livres (7,3 kg) renfermant un récipient empilable présentant un fond fermé, une partie supérieure ouverte et un corps enveloppant un périmètre entre le fond et la partie supérieure. On pratique une protubérance (17) en continu autour du périmètre du corps à proximité de la partie supérieure et on ménage une saillie externe au corps. Une enveloppe souple (18) est fixée et scellée de manière détachable à la protubérance de telle sorte que l'enveloppe scelle le volume intérieur du récipient. Le fond du récipient et le corps du récipient sont fabriqués à partir d'un matériau faisant preuve d'un module d'élasticité en traction oscillant entre au moins environ 35 000 et au moins environ 650 000 livres par pouce carré (environ au moins 2 381 à environ au moins 44 230 atom).
