A structured packing brick (18, 44) is positioned in a column (10) having a longitudinal axis (12). The brick (18, 44) is comprised of a plurality of corrugated plates disposed in parallel relation. The plurality of plates (20) define at least one inclined end surface (32, 34, 46, 48) for engaging and overlapping the inclined end surface (32, 34, 46, 48) of a horizontally adjacent brick (18, 44). The end surfaces (32, 34, 46, 48) are disposed at an angle to the column (10) longitudinal axis (12).
