ABSTRACT A packing laminate web with protective layer which is applied during the manufacture of the laminate web to one, sterile side of the web. When the lami- nate web is to be converted to aseptic packing con- tainers the protective layer is detached and is transferred to the opposite side of the laminate web where it serves as an external plastic layer. The invention also comprises a method for the manu- facture and conversion of the packing laminate web.
