ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pain alleviating tissue treatment assembly uses a combination of a cold electrode and an alterable current source to reduce the temperature of a selected tissue area, while at the same time applying various selected reversing and/or non-reversing currents to the selected tissue. A control console allows the operator to selectively operate the device in conjunction with biological feedback signals and further allows full recordation and/or control of the events as they occur through an attached computer system.
