The present invention relates to a paintbrush/lid holder. The structure is of one piece made from injection molded plastic. The structure is an open circular lid rim made to fit onto the top circular metal rim of a conventional one gallon paint can. The structural elements that actually secure the paint brush in place is a non obtrusive brush catcher with a rising "U" section slot that engages the tapered neck section of the brushes handle and a small semi circular shelf support facing the inside of the can's well just below the "U" shaped slot to hold the weightier wood and metal edge of the brush. The structures upper lid rim also accommodated the closure of the paint can's original lid by a lid channel. The structure while on the paint can also acts as a drip guard preventing paint from filling in the groove of the container's rim. Obviously, slight variations of the structural design can be changed to accommodate the newer plastic one gallon paint containers now beginning to show up in the paint can manufacturing industry.
