This invention pertains to a novel paint brush (2) with inverted bristle clamping panel, a removable bristle pack (6) and a panel (10) hinge yield mechanism. The paint brush (2) provides ready cleaning after use by disengaging the hinged inverted bristles clamping panel (10), removing the bristles and thereby exposing all of the bristles to the cleaning solution. The panel has a resilient release mechanism which yields slightly when undue force is applied to the inverted hinged panel against the bristles. A paint brush construction comprising: a) a paint brush body and handle, the body having formed therein a cavity for receiving a group of bristles (6); b) a pivotal bristle bearing member positioned proximate to the cavity, the bristle bearing member when pivoted to a closed position applying a holding force against bristles held within the cavity, and the member when pivoted to an open position enabling bristles held within the cavity (14) to be removed; and c) a resilient yield location associated with the paint brush body and the pivotal bristle bearing member which enables the pivotal bristle bearing member to yield when the bristle bearing member encounters an undue force when being pivoted to the closed position.
La présente invention concerne une nouvelle brosse à peinture (2) munie d'un panneau de serrage de poils inversé (10), d'une cartouche de poils amovible (6) et d'un mécanisme de dégagement de la charnière du panneau. Il est facile de nettoyer la brosse à peinture (2) de l'invention après l'emploi en dégageant le panneau de serrage de poils inversé à charnière, en enlevant les poils (6) et en exposant de la sorte tous les poils à la solution de nettoyage. Le panneau est doté d'un mécanisme de dégagement élastique qui cède légèrement lorsqu'une pression excessive est exercée sur le panneau inversé à charnière, contre les poils. L'invention se rapporte à une construction de brosse à peinture comprenant: (a) un corps de brosse à peinture et un manche, une cavité (14) destinée à recevoir un groupe de poils étant formée dans le corps; (b) un élément pivotant de support de poils placé à proximité de la cavité, qui applique une force de retenue contre les poils maintenus à l'intérieur de la cavité lorsqu'on le fait pivoter en position fermée; et (c) une zone de dégagement élastique associée au corps de la brosse à peinture et à l'élément pivotant de support de poils, qui permet à l'élément pivotant de support de poils de se dégager s'il rencontre une pression excessive au moment où on le fait pivoter en position fermée.
